Staff Power Group is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing client for a Maintenance Team Leader near Driffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and manage the mechanical maintenance of all site operations and equipment, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient plant performance.

About the Role

  • Oversee planned and preventative maintenance across the site.
  • Lead a small team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment reliability.
  • Use predictive maintenance techniques and the CMMS system to monitor and track activity.
  • Identify, report, and resolve mechanical faults quickly to reduce breakdowns.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Environmental, and industry regulations.
  • Manage spare parts, tools, and ensure all maintenance is completed within budget.

What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served apprentice in a mechanical discipline.
  • BTEC National/NVQ (or equivalent) qualification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Strong background in maintaining heavy plant machinery.
  • Hands-on skills in machining, welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Solid understanding of Safe Systems of Work, SOPs, and risk assessments.
