The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive to join a well-established, market-leading business. This role is ideal for someone with experience in B2B sales who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships, and developing new opportunities, while also managing and growing existing accounts. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your territory, working across a mix of account management, strategic projects, and new business development.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing and developing existing accounts, alongside identifying and converting new business opportunities across the UK. Your time will be broadly split across:

  • Field-based account management
  • Office-based strategic and key account work
  • Proactive new business generation

This is a varied, hands-on sales role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, and commercially minded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field-Based: UK Core Wholesale Clients
    • Manage and develop a portfolio of UK wholesale accounts
    • Spend time in the field building strong, long-term relationships
    • Identify opportunities for growth within existing customers
    • Represent the business at meetings, trade events, and networking opportunities
    • Ensure a high level of customer service while driving revenue
  • Office-Based: Large Retail & DOTCOM Clients
    • Support the management and development of key retail and online accounts
    • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) on projects and launches
    • Review performance and identify opportunities for growth
    • Contribute to planning and development of key accounts
  • New Business Development
    • Identify, prospect, and develop new B2B opportunities
    • Build and manage a consistent sales pipeline
    • Engage new customers and convert opportunities into revenue
    • Support the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close
    • Work towards and achieve sales targets

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in a B2B sales or business development role
  • A proactive approach to winning new business and developing accounts
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Commercial awareness and a willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working across both new business and account management
  • Willingness to travel across the UK
