Staffpower Group are delighted to be working with our client who are seeking a reliable and skilled FLT Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, as well as the ability to handle materials.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of orders.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using a Warehouse Management System.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient materials handling and storage.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in driving a Flexi FLT, within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is essential.
- Ability to load and unload heavy items safely, with experience in heavy lifting preferred.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing deliveries and documentation.
