Our client is looking for a number of drivers mates to join their busy waste removal company.
Immediate start. Shifts available from Today, Thursday 15th May.
Our client is a large, national waste removal company with depots up and down the UK. This position would be working from their Rochdale depot which is based at Kingsway Business Park OL16 4UP.
The role is predominantly working with a driver to make waste collections at domestic premises. This could involve collecting a kitchen that has been removed, bedroom furniture, or a sofa, for example. There may also be occasions where there is a need to visit a restaurant whose bins have not been emptied, and their waste needs to be loaded into the van to be taken to the depot. These types of collections are less common but should be considered by an applicant.
Shifts are booked on a daily basis. Our client contacts us daily to let us know how many staff they need for the next day. We try our best to book workers in for the days and shifts that they prefer, but some flexibility is required.
Due to the nature of these shifts, full-time work is not guaranteed each week; however, each shift is 12 hours, meaning that working hours soon add up. Pay is weekly at £12.21 per hour.
Due to the ad hoc nature of the shifts, this role would be ideal for someone who is between jobs, not looking for set full-time hours, or a university student who gets set days off from their studies.
Applicants must have safety boots, but all other PPE will be provided. No experience is necessary, but applicants must have a good attitude, be happy with physical work, and be willing to occasionally 'get their hands dirty'.
