Our client is looking for a number of drivers mates to join their busy waste removal company. Shifts available from Friday 14th March.
Our client is a large, national, waste removal company with depots up and down the UK. This position would be working around Hull and the UK with a driver. Applicants would be collected from their home and at the end of the day would be dropped back off at this same address.
The role is predominantly working with a driver to make waste collections at domestic premises. This could involve collecting a kitchen that has been removed, bedroom furniture, or a sofa, for example. There could also be occasions where there is a need to visit a restaurant whose bins have not been emptied, and their waste needs to be loaded into the van to be taken to the depot. These types of collections are less common but would need to be considered by an applicant.
Shifts are booked on a daily basis; our client contacts us daily to let us know how many staff they need for the next day. Due to the nature of these shifts, full-time work is not guaranteed each week; however, each shift is 10-12 hours, meaning that working hours soon add up. Pay is weekly at £11.44 per hour.
Due to the ad hoc nature of the shifts, this role would be ideal for someone who is between jobs, not looking for set full-time hours, or a university student who gets set days off from their studies.
Applicants must have safety boots and ideally Hi Vis, but all other PPE will be provided. No experience is necessary, but applicants must have a good attitude, be happy with physical work, and be willing to occasionally 'get their hands dirty'.
