This will show that you're not just a qualified nurse, but one who understands the role inside out.

Showcase Your Communication Skills

As a Practice Nurse, communication is key. Prepare examples of how you've effectively communicated with patients and worked within a multidisciplinary team. Think about times when you've had to educate patients or collaborate with GPs, as these stories will highlight your strengths.

Familiarise Yourself with the Practice

Do a bit of homework on the GP practice you're interviewing for. Understand their values, patient demographics, and any specific services they offer. This knowledge will help you tailor your answers and demonstrate your genuine interest in joining their team.

Prepare Questions to Ask

Interviews are a two-way street, so come prepared with questions. Ask about their approach to patient care, how they support their nurses, or what a typical day looks like. This shows that you're engaged and serious about the position, plus it helps you gauge if it's the right fit for you.
