Are you immediately available and ready to take on a new challenge? Do you have previous NHS GP experience and confidence using SystmOne or EMIS? We are currently working with a friendly and well-regarded GP practice in Gateshead and the surrounding areas, who are seeking a Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis. There is strong potential for this role to become permanent following a successful trial period.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced position suited to someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering excellent service to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Managing appointment bookings and maintaining an efficient diary system
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality
  • Processing registrations, forms, and payments
