Are you immediately available and happy to take on a new challenge? Do you have previous NHS GP experience using EMIS? We are working with a lovely GP practice in the area of Blackheath and surrounding areas who require the support of a Medical Receptionist/Administrator on a full-time ongoing temporary basis with the possibility of being taken on permanently after a trial.
Our client requires someone who can hit the ground running with a good working knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne and previous experience working within a GP surgery, along with an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment diary efficiently
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality
- Process patient registrations, insurance forms, and payments
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous
