Due to new and expanding contracts, we are recruiting for experienced Healthcare Assistants/Support Workers for flexible Agency shifts in private nursing homes and supported living schemes in the Bangor and surrounding areas. Unfortunately, we do not offer sponsorship, and due to regulatory requirements set by the RQIA, applicants must be able to provide two satisfactory UK-based references and obtain an Enhanced AccessNI check. We are unable to progress applications from individuals who have not worked in the UK or Northern Ireland long enough to meet these requirements.
The main responsibility of the Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker role is to provide safe and effective care to service users throughout all aspects of their care needs; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Personal care, hygiene and toileting
- Mobility
- Assistance with feeding and nutritional support
- 1-1 supervision
- Monitoring and recording
- Promoting independence
- Assisting individuals to live fulfilled lives despite varying degrees of incapacity and/or disability
