We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery group in Kensington, Greater London. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, excellent communication and team-building skills.
Person Specification
- Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Track record of involvement in Ofsted Inspections
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
- Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Responsibilities
- Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations
- Working closely with operations managers and managing KPIs
- Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
- Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
- Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child's interindividual learning and development
- Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
- Managing budgets and keeping accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
- Managing Staff Rotas and meetings
- Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
- To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
- To attend out of working hours activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents evenings and special events
