Class 2 HGV Drivers - Days and Nights available
We're looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver to join our clients team at their Heathrow/Colnbrook operation.
You'll play an important role in there road transport operation, carrying out collections and deliveries for a range of customers and freight movements. The role will involve driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently, collecting and delivering consignments, completing vehicle checks and paperwork, and providing a professional service to customers.
You may be involved with general freight as well as time-sensitive and temperature-controlled consignments, so reliability, attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential.
The Role
- Class 2 HGV driving across local and UK routes
- Collection and delivery of freight and consignments
- Working with customers and building strong relationships
- Completing vehicle checks and required paperwork
- Loading/unloading and ensuring goods are secure
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Representing the company professionally at customer sites
- Following all road transport, health & safety and company procedures
About You
- Valid Category C / Class 2 licence - 2 years minimum experience
- Valid CPC/DQC
- Recent HGV driving experience
- Previous logistics, freight or delivery experience is advantageous
- Lorry loader/crane experience would be a bonus, but isn't essential
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Professional and confident when dealing with customers
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Able to work independently while being part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a genuine commitment to excellent customer service
