Staff for Education are working in partnership with an Alternative Provision in the Nottingham area and we are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teacher to start after Easter in April 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position until at least the end of the academic year, due to increased needs within the school.

As a SEND Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Working closely with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups to support their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Adapting teaching strategies and resources to ensure accessibility for all learners
  • Collaborating with Teaching Assistants and support staff to provide a consistent and supportive learning environment
  • Monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress, and reporting to senior leaders and parents where required
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

To be successful for the role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience working with pupils with SEND (ideally within Alternative Provision, Primary, or Secondary settings)
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach to learning
  • Have a passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential
