We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Hygiene Operatives to join our client at a busy food production factory. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all production areas, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
Pay: £15.05ph
Hours: 4 on 4 off 6pm-6am
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning tasks across production, packaging, and storage areas, including machinery and equipment
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all hygiene records and documentation are completed accurately and on time
- Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to supervisors
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Production teams to meet hygiene standards
- Adhere strictly to company hygiene, health & safety, and food safety policies and procedures
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Requirements:
- Previous hygiene or cleaning experience in a food production or similar environment is desirable
- Basic understanding of food safety and cleaning protocols (e.g., COSHH)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks and manual handling
- Flexible with working hours and willing to work various shifts if required
