HGV Class 1 (CE) Driver – Coventry

£18.50 – £37.00ph | Weekly Pay | Block Bookings | Paid Breaks

StaffCo Direct is recruiting HGV Class 1 (CE) drivers for ongoing curtain-side trunking and multi-drop work based in Coventry. We're looking for professional and motivated drivers for both AM and PM shifts, with immediate starts available. This is a well-organised operation offering consistent weekly bookings, paid breaks, and opportunities for block bookings and full-time positions.

Pay Rates (PAYE)

  • Monday–Friday PM: £18.50ph plus holiday pay, or £20.73ph including holiday pay
  • Overtime (after 9 hours) PM: £23.22ph
  • Weekends work is paid at double time!

What the role involves

You'll be completing curtain-side deliveries and trunking work, typically 1–3 drops per shift, with forklift-assisted unloading. Shifts are typically 10–12 hours, with 8 hours guaranteed pay, including paid breaks. You'll be working Monday to Friday with additional weekend work available. A paid 2-day assessment and induction is required before starting, followed by ongoing block booking opportunities and potential full-time positions. Start time between 18:00.

Our ideal candidate

  • Holds a valid HGV Class 1 (CE) UK licence held for at least 2 years
  • Has a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Has no more than 6 penalty points (no IN, DR, DD or TT convictions)
  • Has good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Is physically fit and well-presented
