The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents in nursing and residential homes, helping them to maintain their dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Your duties may include:

  • Providing personal care and support
  • Assisting with washing, dressing and toileting
  • Supporting residents with eating and drinking
  • Assisting with moving and handling, following care plans
  • Promoting independence and encouraging participation in daily activities
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' wellbeing
  • Maintaining accurate records where required
  • Working closely with nurses and care home staff
  • Ensuring residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion at all times

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months' paid experience as a Healthcare Assistant in the UK
  • A caring, compassionate and professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one)
