The Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents in nursing and residential homes, helping them to maintain their dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Your duties may include:
- Providing personal care and support
- Assisting with washing, dressing and toileting
- Supporting residents with eating and drinking
- Assisting with moving and handling, following care plans
- Promoting independence and encouraging participation in daily activities
- Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate records where required
- Working closely with nurses and care home staff
- Ensuring residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion at all times
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 6 months' paid experience as a Healthcare Assistant in the UK
- A caring, compassionate and professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one)
