OVERVIEW: Sportradar is seeking a Product Manager with a passion for sports to join our team and drive the next evolution of our sports data delivery. The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution through the product life cycle, including defining the product vision, gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. You will be both passionate and knowledgeable about all things related to your sports including charting a course for creating market-leading APIs. Working cross-functionally and bridging the gap between customers and product development will be essential in professionally launching and maintaining your product for key customer segments.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Own the vision for your APIs and be accountable for creating the best sports data delivery mechanism in the market particularly for sports such as tennis, basketball, cricket, MMA and others.
- Make data-driven recommendations and translate those to requirements, user stories, and specifications.
- Drive the business case and justification for new features and work cross-functionally communicating across teams to move things to a successful conclusion.
- Articulate user stories, participate in scrum and sprint planning and serve as the subject matter expert to the various Sportradar media squads.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and point of escalation for your products for Support, Sales, Account Management, and Technical Account Managers.
- Liaise with the Technical Account Managers to glean and assess critical client feedback.
- Serve as a sports expert for your products for client-facing teams. Participate in client and enterprise client meetings as needed.
- Liaise with other Product Managers to drive consistency in processes, product, and delivery.
- Provide training to client-facing teams including Support, Sales, and Account Management.
- Connect with and maintain relationships with league partners and business partners as needed.
- Perform competitive and market analysis and turn them into product requirements by focusing on areas of improvement and innovation.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 3-5 years experience as a Product Manager/Owner (preferably working with data delivery products such as APIs) who can demonstrate significant success in using technical solutions to deliver client-focused products.
- Experience in a related product development or data management role with demonstrable success in using data to deliver client-focused products.
- Strong understanding of the types of digital solutions that resonate with key clients from the media/digital industry.
- Knowledge and passion for sports– you know sports inside and out, you know the compelling stats that matter, you know how to derive insights from data.
- Proven and continued success collaborating with cross-functional groups including management, engineering, sales teams and most importantly - customers.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; with experience using metrics to prove assumptions and concepts.
- Very strong and proven communication skills.
