We are currently searching for an Engineering Manager who is keen to grow and develop to help shape the site's Engineering strategy. Within this pivotal role, you will lead the engineering function at our Kirkham site, driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with global standards. You will oversee capital project delivery, implement engineering best practices, and develop strategies to optimize equipment performance and resource utilization.
As a key member of the site operational leadership team, you will collaborate with global and local stakeholders to align engineering initiatives with business objectives. Your expertise will shape the future of our engineering capabilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation across all operations.
How You Will Make an Impact:- Lead the development and implementation of engineering processes, KPIs, and strategies to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with global standards.
- Oversee the delivery of CAPEX projects, ensuring alignment with business cases, timelines, and budgets while driving innovation and new technologies.
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring facilities and equipment meet all legal, internal, and best-practice standards.
- Implement robust preventative maintenance plans and TPM initiatives to maximize equipment utilization and improve site performance.
- Act as a mentor and leader, developing top technical talent within the engineering team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Over five years of experience in an engineering function within the pharmaceutical or comparable industry, with a proven track record in equipment, process, and project engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including at least three years in a senior engineering leadership role, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of GMP, engineering standards, and TPM programs, with a strong ability to deliver safe, compliant, and innovative technical solutions.
- Skilled in CAPEX investment planning, project management methodologies, and IT systems such as SAP and CMMS, with a passion for driving operational efficiency.
- Proactive, motivated professional with exceptional communication skills, cultural awareness, and a clear passion for driving change and delivering results.
