As a Production Engineer, you'll tackle preventative maintenance, resolve breakdowns, and implement innovative solutions to keep our operations running smoothly. How You Will Make an Impact
- Optimise Production Processes: Ensure quick and efficient setup, changeover, repairs, and adjustments to maximise line production machine operating time and reduce delays.
- Maintain Equipment Reliability: Develop and execute thorough maintenance programs to keep production equipment in excellent working condition and minimise unexpected breakdowns.
- Drive Performance Improvements: Identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and lead projects to improve equipment output and eliminate recurring issues.
- Streamline Changeovers: Train teams, create detailed setting charts, and modify equipment with tools e.g. quick-release mechanisms to ensure faster and more reliable changeovers.
- Support Equipment and Product Introductions: Collaborate on selecting, installing, and testing new machinery, while ensuring smooth integration of new products and components into production lines.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards: Maintain accurate documentation and processes that meet GMP, MHRA, and BSI requirements to uphold high-quality production standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrable experience as a time-served Mechanical Engineer
- Qualified to minimum Level 3 (e.g. BTCE, HNC, HND) in a related Mechanical Engineering subject
- Strong communication and problem-solving attitude
- Manufacturing/production environment experience is advantageous, but not essential.
