As our Indirect Buyer, you will play a key role in managing the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services across indirect spend categories. Supporting Technical and Commercial Operations, you will ensure suppliers consistently meet business requirements in terms of quality, cost, service, compliance, and availability. Acting as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, you will balance both tactical and strategic procurement activities while driving supplier performance, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation. You will also ensure that all activities are delivered in a timely, compliant, and audit-ready manner.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Develop and support category strategies by gathering business requirements, preparing sourcing activities, and maintaining accurate supplier data.
- Ensure accurate and efficient Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes for assigned categories.
- Conduct RFx activities for new and existing suppliers, ensuring competitive bids and compliance with procurement policies.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure favourable pricing, payment terms, and service levels.
- Support contract creation, renewals, and amendments.
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Support issue resolution, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, company policies, quality standards, and IT security requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating supply risks.
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, and other relevant internal teams.
- Support opportunities for synergies within the STADA UK group.
- Contribute to cost optimisation initiatives through sourcing, negotiation, and process improvements.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded procurement professional with experience in indirect procurement, and a strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. You will have:
- 3-5 years of experience in indirect procurement, with proven experience in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management, ideally within a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing environment.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing RFx processes and leading commercial negotiations.
- A solid understanding of procurement processes, compliance, and supplier performance management.
- The ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with digital procurement tools such as SAP/Ariba (nice to have).
