We are currently searching for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support our maintenance team. You will be providing excellent electrical engineering support across site, ensuring machines, equipment and property are all maintained to ensure production is maximised while working to planned schedules.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager daily to ensure machine down time is kept to a minimum.
  • Identify and solve day to day maintenance problems.
  • Perform PPM (planned preventative maintenance) schedules as required.
  • Involvement with projects and continuous improvements.
  • Perform duties from the maintenance non-urgent job list.
  • Accurately complete all documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Accurately create and update relevant SOPs as necessary.
  • Identify and solve day to day machine and plant related problems.
  • Carry out maintenance activities on buildings, plant, and facilities to improve quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager to ensure the availability of spare machine parts whilst keeping costs to a minimum.
  • Set up various packaging machinery as and when required and assist with installation of new equipment.
  • Provide machine setup as required and work with the site to improve its TPM plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and inform the Engineering Manager of any machine faults / difficulties at any time throughout the day.
  • Provide training and coaching to other employees and team members as required in line with our one team ethos.
What We Are Looking For
  • A time served electrician or electrical engineer/ recognised engineering trade apprenticeship and/or HNC in electrical engineering (236 City and Guilds).
  • Proven experience within the FMCG manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems.
  • Experience and a good understanding of fault finding, 3 phase and single-phase motors, pumps, relays, sensors, and drives.
  • Solid mechanical skills, chains, gears, bearings and seals.
  • Computer Literate, with good general understanding of the Microsoft suite including Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to be proactive and make sound decisions to resolve situations.
  • Previous experience of working in a clean manufacturing / factory environment preferably within the food / pharmaceutical industry desirable.
  • Experience of working on a wide range of manufacturing and packaging machinery desirable.
