STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Shift Maintenance Engineer
Huddersfield | United Kingdom (GB) | Full-time | Permanent
You will provide a highly skilled engineering resource as a key member of the Site maintenance team, with a primary focus on repairing, maintaining, and improving operationally critical equipment.
How You Will Make An Impact:
- Lead and support a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely maintenance that maximizes factory output.
- Drive health, safety, and environmental best practices, maintaining clean, safe work areas and adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Manage planned and breakdown maintenance activities, responding promptly to work orders and ensuring proper documentation and risk assessments.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and improve spare parts availability to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical expertise for equipment specification, installation, commissioning, and participate in technical reviews and testing.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, quality standards, and clean area protocols to support product integrity.
- Take ownership of personal and team safety, fostering a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
- Flexibly support out-of-hours work to maintain uninterrupted factory operations.
What We Are Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multiskilled trades, or equivalent practical experience.
- Completed maintenance apprenticeship or time-served equivalent.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental responsibility in all work activities.
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a diverse, multi-skilled team.
- Demonstrates respect, dignity, and inclusion, upholding equal opportunities in the workplace.
- Consistently embodies and promotes company values in daily work.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to maintaining accurate records and compliance standards.
