STADA UK Natures Aid – Machine Setter
Are you a motivated and experienced Machine Setter looking for your next challenge? Then this could be your next role!You’ll be working in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment and ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Standards are always met, while effectively set up a wide range of machinery in both packing and manufacturing areas. Along with undertaking routine site maintenance work.We’re looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable to changing production needs with excellent problem-solving ability.This role also has the requirement for occasional out of hours work and paid overtime.
Rotating Shifts – 5:45 am to 2:00 pm / 1:55 pm to 10:10 pm – 40 hrs per week.
Main Responsibilities:
- Set up machinery on packing lines to specified requirements, including fillers, hoppers, labellers and shrink wrap machines to ensure efficiency and quality in packing of products.
- Support the set-up of manufacturing machines when required, such as tablet presses and capsule machines to ensure efficiency and quality of manufacture.
- Lead clean downs of packing and manufacturing machinery, including, stripping machinery and parts (fillers, hoppers etc.) and resetting the cartoners, labellers, shrink wrap machines ready for new products or batches.
- Perform routine PPM (planned preventative maintenance) schedules as required.
- Identify and solve day to day machine setting problems.
- Perform duties as required from the maintenance non urgent job list.

- 5 years’ experience working with packing line/ tabletting machinery in a FMCG environment (swift lane tablet counter, tablet presses, capsule machines etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Motivated individual with a ‘can do attitude’.
- Ability to work in a physical environment with activities to include bending, lifting and basic manual handling.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work both independently and as a wider team.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Apprenticeship trained or qualification in engineering – desirable.
