- Preparation of year‑end statutory accounts and analysis, driving the audit process and coordinating audit deliverables; this includes preparation of year‑end statutory packs and implementing efficiencies from previous audits.
- Management of external financial audits, including statutory year‑end audits and non‑statutory engagements (Department of Health, MHRA).
- Maintenance of a strong internal control environment, collaborating with finance colleagues and stakeholders to ensure robust procedures and controls are in place and adhered to.
- Control of the balance sheet, including ownership, preparation, and reconciliation of all balance‑sheet accounts in line with group IFRS and local FRS 101 reporting.
- Supporting the FP&A team during budget and forecast processes.
- Completion and delivery of external reporting and returns, including VPAG and ONS.
- Ownership and responsibility for CAPEX, fixed assets, and assets under construction (AUC) in accordance with group IFRS and local GAAP.
- Ownership and responsibility for lease accounting under IFRS 16.
- Ownership of ledgers for subsidiary companies and monthly reconciliations for local accounting to SAP ledgers.
- Ad‑hoc support and project work across the wider finance team to ensure overall team deliverables are achieved.
