Step into a central role at the heart of our Huddersfield site’s engineering operation. As Engineering Administrator, you’ll be the organisational powerhouse behind our engineering teams—keeping projects, operations, compliance, and quality systems running smoothly and audit-ready at all times. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you’ll work across all engineering departments, supporting the technical experts who drive our manufacturing, automation, control systems, utilities, and facilities—making a real impact on performance and site-wide targets.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Keep our engineering operation running smoothly with smart, efficient day-to-day administration.
  • Be the backbone of workforce onboarding, training records, and compliance – ensuring everything is audit-ready.
  • Own the accuracy of our CMMS data, asset registers, and work order closures, underpinning reliable maintenance.
  • Take charge of critical safety and compliance processes, from PPE control and permits to contractor paperwork and RAMS.
  • Drive control over service costs, contracts, and supplier invoicing, helping the department stay on budget and on track.
  • Maintain structured engineering archives and support internal and external audits, safeguarding traceability and certifications.

What We Are Looking For

  • Professional, approachable communicator who builds strong relationships across engineering and wider teams, ideally bringing experience of engineering or manufacturing settings.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, keeping systems, records, and tasks accurate and audit-ready.
  • Confident IT user with strong typing skills, comfortable across email, Word, Excel and presentation tools – experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a real plus.
  • Strong time management skills, able to prioritise and manage a varied workload in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Practical problem-solver who thinks creatively and finds effective, hands-on solutions.
  • Collaborative team player who takes direction well and works smoothly with colleagues at all levels.
