Ready to shape the future of our UK business? We’re looking for a Demand Planner who can own and elevate our Unconstrained Demand Plan – turning data into sharp insight, robust forecasts and real commercial results. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our Integrated Business Planning process, leading Demand Reviews, aligning forecasts with business objectives, and partnering closely with commercial teams to unlock opportunities and hit service level targets. You’ll dive into performance data, improve forecast accuracy, and proactively tackle challenges before they impact the market – all while working cross‑functionally to keep inventory healthy and stock available for our customers. If you thrive on analysis, collaboration and making a visible impact, this is where you can do your best work.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Shape and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies that directly support the company’s commercial goals.
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing leadership to build robust long‑term forecasts and drive forecast accuracy.
  • Lead demand planning to optimise forecast performance, secure successful NPD launches, and minimise excess or obsolete stock.
  • Champion continuous improvement to boost inventory efficiency, cut costs, and reduce lead times.
  • Own demand planning insights in monthly UK Exec S&OP meetings, providing clear commentary on KPIs and forecast variance.
  • Align supply chain actions with commercial priorities through strong cross‑functional collaboration, global network engagement, rigorous compliance, risk management, and KPI‑driven reporting.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven supply chain experience ideally in FMCG and/or pharmaceuticals, ideally backed by a relevant degree and strong SAP/ERP capability.
  • Understanding of S&OP / Integrated Business Planning, with a track record of working closely with Sales, Marketing and commercial teams.
  • Values‑led and customer‑centric, acting with integrity, agility and an entrepreneurial mindset, with patients, consumers and customers at the centre of decisions.
  • Emerging people leadership skills: able to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, support and motivate colleagues, and contribute to a high‑performing team culture.
  • Confident driving improvement and change: organised, resilient and able to turn data into insight to enhance service, optimise inventory and support business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with solid Excel capability and the ability to influence stakeholders and build constructive relationships across functions.

At Thornton & Ross our purpose “Caring for people’s health as a trusted partner” motivates us every day. And what would be a better place than starting with our own employees. Which is why we give much in return:

  • Competitive salary and annual bonus scheme.
  • Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme offering 6% employer contribution rates.
  • Hybrid working – we spend three days of your choice in the office, with the remaining days working at home.

  • On‑site subsidised canteen.
  • Health benefits provided through our Medicash Health Cash.
  • Wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Programme and KYAN Wellbeing – offering free coaching and counselling services for you and your family.
  • Electric Car Scheme through Octopus Energy, plus free on‑site EV charging.
  • Enhanced Family Leave.
