About the Role
As an AS&T Scientist in the Analytical Science and Technology team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of analytical methods and laboratory processes within the QC team. You’ll generate high-quality, accurate data to support compliance activities, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented scientist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Perform analytical tasks to support NONCs across departments and provide scientifically justified reports.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods for a varied portfolio of existing products.
- Perform analytical method transfer activities to support product acquisition.
- Ensure all work complies with cGMP quality systems and safety assessments.
- Identify anomalies in data and methods, contributing to solutions with management support.
- Maintain laboratory systems and processes (e.g., KanBan, 6S) to ensure compliant cGMP analytics.
- Provide guidance and advice to analysts and other QC teams.
- Accurately document protocols and reports in line with industry standards (e.g., CTD format).
- Peer review data as part of the checking process and raise concerns when necessary.
- Adapt to changing plans while maintaining meticulous record-keeping and time management.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, or a Level 4 qualification with at least 3 years’ relevant industry experience (or equivalent).
- Proficiency with analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, balances).
- Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and cGMP requirements.
- Solid data analysis skills, including experience with LIMS and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with experience troubleshooting analytical methods and equipment, as well as optimizing processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally, and be able to represent themselves and the team in a confident and professional manner.
- An understanding of method development and validation as well as basic regulatory requirements.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
