Role: Exterior Quality Lead Engineer

Required Technical Skill Set: Catia V5/V6, Window Regulators, Seals, Finishers Quality Lead Engineer

Desired Experience Range: 8‑10 years

Location of Requirement: Onsite UK

Must‑Have (Ideally should not be more than 3‑5)

Strong understanding of visual quality, surface finish, gap/flush standards, and tactile feel
Proficiency in AIMS, 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, and problem‑solving methodologies
Hands‑on experience in vehicle build phases and launch readiness activities
Familiarity with GD&T, metrology tools, and tolerance analysis
Ability to work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Design, and Supplier teams
Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and drive corrective actions
Clear reporting and escalation of quality concerns across all levels

Good‑to‑Have

Experience with Class A surfaces, paint finish, and interior trim evaluations
Exposure to Q‑DAS, Minitab, or other statistical quality software
Experience working with Tier 1 suppliers on incoming quality and PPAP
Knowledge of defect reduction strategies that support waste minimization and recyclability
