We are seeking a Product Owner to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will lead a specific digital project from inception to the delivery of its first major release. You will shape the product roadmap and manage the backlog, enabling our capital delivery teams to optimise energy generation, transmission, and distribution through The Great Grid Upgrade.
You will act as a conduit between end users and technical teams, translating business requirements into user stories for the scrum team to deliver. You will contribute to the vision for the team’s product, maintain a prioritised backlog, and develop the product roadmap, working closely with the Product Manager to ensure alignment with the product strategy.
Leading scoping, requirements definition, and priority setting, you will manage requirements throughout the entire delivery and operational lifecycle. As you oversee the lifecycle of this digital project, you will also play a crucial role in its transition into service, ensuring a smooth handover to our product teams for ongoing management.
Engaging in all phases from discovery and product design to production, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry experts to deliver a project that will be key in helping us to run one of the UK’s largest capital projects.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCommunication skills are key to this role. Whether collaborating with stakeholders to elicit requirements or communicating progress against PI objectives, your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders is essential. With strong verbal and written communication skills, you understand that effective communication often involves listening more than speaking, allowing you to identify what colleagues are truly asking for.
Requirements- Proven track record in large, complex environments managing enterprise-level digital projects.
- Ideally, experience in workforce management or other types of organisational management software.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing B2B SaaS applications.
- Extensive experience working in Agile product teams, familiar with Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery and post-launch evaluation.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in user research and translating user needs into actionable user stories.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and product performance metrics.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
