Hybrid Requirement: Minimum 2 days in office

The Role
Candidate will lead the development of core data products that enhance customer understanding, improve customer experiences, optimise marketing effectiveness, and support data monetisation. Working within Sainsbury's evolving data and personalisation landscape, the role drives high quality data solutions that benefit colleagues and millions of customers across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be looking after Product Management for BI in Commercial.
- The main things they’ll be focusing on over the next few months are:
- Creating the plan to migrate from MicroStrategy to Power BI, similar to what we did in the EDW programme.
- Designing the features and landing page for the new BI portal.
- Keeping on top of the small amount of in flight work and making sure any changes are communicated.
- Capturing new demand for future build, completing discovery and processing this demand through our quarterly demand process. I expect this would be minimal as new demand is mostly on hold until critical parts of the BI Hub proposals are complete.

- Product Expertise: Experienced in agile delivery, product strategy, engineering practices and outcome-driven product management.
- Communication: Clear, compelling communicator able to generate alignment and energy, even in challenging decision scenarios.
- Data Savvy: Solid understanding of customer data, AI/ML capabilities and data platforms; technically curious with awareness of emerging trends.
- Proactive & Pragmatic: Self-starter with strong judgement, able to deliver clarity in ambiguity, make quick decisions and hold teams accountable.
- Community Builder: Passionate about contributing to and growing the internal product community.
Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Knowledge of data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure Data Lake).
- Understanding of monitoring, model performance tracking, and observability best practices.
