Role Description: Serves over 4.6 million customers households and business across the Midlands and Wales, supplying nearly two billion litres of drinking water a day to the highest standards in Europe. STW takes away used water and treats it at over 1,000 sewage works and puts it safely back into rivers and streams. Severn Trent will be implementing the Kraken Retail Platform and the associated changes to Severn Trent systems, including building the relevant interfaces required, data migration, reporting, and archiving activities associated with the implementation of the Kraken solution. This role has a direct impact on TCS's reputation in front of customers, as we are heavily involved in developing integration between their asset master SAP with Kraken and other multiple systems. STW SAP team is one of their key departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to support stakeholder management expectations for immediate peers and related connections.
- Should be able to operate on basic level items with autonomy.
- Should be skilful in the development of architecture.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills & good judgement for escalation and delegation and the ability to approach challenges with pragmatism.
- Good to have a basic capability to support translating solution proposals to commercial considerations such as licensing, cost and carbon efficiency.
- Should have a basic capability to apply the changes in technology marketplaces and solutions, from acquisitions to lifecycles.
- Ideally experience of working to implement the Kraken system or alternatively experience of a billing system migration, preferably in water or energy.
- Should have experience of working in the utilities industry; working on Customer Billing system migrations; working on integrations with SAP back-office solutions; or working with Kraken Technologies Limited.
- Must have expertise in multiple SAP technologies, including ABAP, HANA, Gateway, etc.
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
- Aptitude for understanding both business and technical issues, and able to operate at both a detailed and strategic level.
- Able to support identifying critical gaps in specific, measurable, achievable, realistic requirements that can be realized in reasonable timescales.
- Show the tenacity to drive and take architectural ownership of solutions through research, evaluation, recommendation/selection and then design and delivery.
- Documentation creation to capture key architectural artefacts and decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP integration solutions, including PI/PO, HCI/CPI, Ariba, NetWeaver Gateway and SuccessFactors.
- The integration for Kraken will use SAP CPI as the middleware so implementation experience in this platform is crucial for this role.
