Job Title: Lead Repair Engineer (Aerospace)Location: Derby, UK (Hybrid: 2 days onsite/week)

Role Overview This position supports critical aerospace maintenance operations, focusing on engine component repair substantiation and restoration for commercial/military aircraft. The role combines technical engineering expertise with regulatory compliance in an MRO environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex engine part drawings and create repair graphics
  • Substantiate repairs to meet airworthiness regulations
  • Apply knowledge of aerospace alloys and material properties
  • Sequence repair operations for damaged engine components
  • Collaborate with global teams across time zones
  • Ensure compliance with flight safety requirements

Essential RequirementsEducation:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering

Experience:

  • 2-5 years in aircraft engine MRO or repair development
  • Hands-on experience with aero engine components
  • Understanding of repair processes for common damage types

Technical Skills:

  • Engineering judgment with limited data
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards (EASA/FAA)
