Role Description: Serves over 4.6 million customers households and business across the Midlands and Wales, supplying nearly two billion litres of drinking water a day to the highest standards in Europe. STW takes away used water and treats it at over 1,000 sewage works and puts it safely back into rivers and streams. Severn Trent will be implementing the Kraken Retail Platform and the associated changes to Severn Trent systems, including building the relevant interfaces required, data migration, reporting, and archiving activities associated with the implementation of the Kraken solution. This role has a direct impact on TCS's reputation in front of customers, as we are heavily involved in developing integration between SAP, Kraken & few other systems via CPI/AEM suite. STW Integration is one of their key departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An integration specialist with experience in several platforms and toolsets able to understand existing integrations and transition these to work effectively with the Kraken platform and SAP CPI.
  • Support stakeholder management expectations for immediate peers and related connections.
  • Produce technical specifications and diagrams that document existing systems and required integration into Kraken system.
  • Work with Kraken to identify and resolve any issues related to integration.
  • Work with the architects to define the overall integration architecture for the Kraken solution being mindful of reuse where appropriate.

Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • Familiarity with a variety of integration tools; experience of working with the IBM Integration Broker, IBM MQ and DataPower integration toolsets and/or SAP PI/PO, AEM, APIM and NetWeaver Gateway would be useful, as would experience related to Karaf.
  • The integration for Kraken is to use SAP CPI as the middleware, so implementation experience in this platform is crucial for this role.
  • Confidence and experience with Web Services, API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
  • Experience of working in the utilities industry; working on Customer Billing system migrations; working on integrations with SAP back-office solutions; or working with Kraken Technologies Limited.
  • Aptitude for understanding both business and technical issues, and able to operate at both a detailed and strategic level.
