We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Engineer to join our telecom client at Stockley Park. This is a fully onsite role, requiring presence at the client location 5 days per week. The position involves supporting a shift rota, including night and weekend shifts, to ensure 24/7 network operations.

Working Arrangements:

  • Onsite: 5 days per week at Stockley Park
  • Shift Rotation:
  • 00:00 - 08:00
  • 08:00 - 16:00
  • 16:00 - 00:00

Candidates must be willing and able to support all shift patterns as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage enterprise network operations, ensuring high availability and security
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager)
  • Operate and optimize Akamai CDN and security solutions
  • Administer Fortinet Fortigate firewalls and FortiManager
  • Manage Juniper SRX firewalls and Juniper switches
  • Implement and support Cisco ISE for RADIUS and network access control
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Nexus 7000 series switches
  • Design and enforce ACLs, network segmentation, and perimeter defence strategies
  • Apply deep knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.), and high availability concepts
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues using packet capture and log analysis
  • Utilize network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, SNMP-based tools)

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
  • Strong operational experience with F5 LTM, Akamai CDN/security, Fortinet Fortigate, Juniper SRX, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Nexus 7000
  • Proven expertise in ACLs, network segmentation, and perimeter defence
  • Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and high availability
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with packet capture and log analysis
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, SNMP-based tools)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a rota
