Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Techno Functional Consultant to join our team. You will support greenfield implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and steady state environments on SAP with RISE. You will play a key role in configuring newly provisioned systems to support SAP standard retail functionality and enable downstream testing activities such as SIT, UAT, and performance testing prior to and after go live.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and support SAP MDG solutions to ensure high quality, consistent, and compliant master data.
- Implement governance frameworks, workflows, data quality rules, and consolidation/centralisation processes for master data objects (e.g., Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance Objects).
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate data governance needs into scalable MDG solutions.
- Configure systems, model master data, enhance workflows, and support integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Lead testing, documentation, and go live activities within S/4HANA or ECC environments.
- Provide functional expertise during design, configuration, and gap analysis activities.
- Complete assigned tasks in alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
- Engage with business users and functional leads to gather requirements and provide regular progress updates.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Hands on experience with SAP MDG BP, MDG F, and MDG AR.
- Minimum three SAP MDG implementations, including inbound/outbound integration and custom data model/UI design.
- Strong knowledge of baseline configurations, BC Sets, Data Modelling, SMT Mapping, UI Modelling, CBA, Process Modelling, Access Classes, DIF, DRF, Key/Value Mapping, and file upload/download processes.
- Experience with workflows and BRF+ applications, including validation, derivation, and workflow template customisation.
- Experience with Floorplan Manager (Web Dynpro ABAP), including adaptations, enhancements, deep copy, and UI customisation.
- Strong understanding of MDG Data Model and UI Model extensions (AR/BP/0G).
- Proficiency in DDIC.
- Experience with IDOCs, SOA services, BAdIs, classes and methods, and ALE/IDOCs.
- Strong experience in data replication, error handling, validations, and derivations.
- Ability to work effectively in highly customised SAP environments with integrations to non-SAP systems.
- Strong understanding of retail business processes.
- Experience with retail master data objects such as Article, Store, Assortment, and Layout.
- Expertise in FI master data, including GL, Profit Centre, and Cost Centre.
- Experience supporting Article Management and Business Partner modules.
- Experience with Run SAP / Solution Manager methodologies.
- Experience working in large, diverse, and globally distributed teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Proactive approach to problem solving and delivery.
- Willingness to work in shifts when required.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Experience with estimation techniques.
- Integration knowledge with Ariba or other legacy systems.
- Ability to design and collaborate with technical teams for complex integrations.
