AWS Cloud Infrastructure Designer is responsible for designing robust, scalable, secure, and cost efficient cloud architectures on Amazon Web Services. The role focuses on translating business requirements into cloud native infrastructure blueprints, ensuring alignment with best practices such as the AWS Well Architected Framework.
Your Responsibilities
- Design end to end AWS cloud infrastructures including networking, compute, storage, security, and monitoring.
- Create high level and low level architectural diagrams, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates, and design documents.
- Evaluate and select AWS services that best fit functional and non functional requirements.
- Build and optimize solutions using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and CDK.
- Ensure solutions adhere to reliability, performance, security, and cost optimization best practices.
- Implement cost efficient designs leveraging autoscaling, serverless, spot instances, and managed services.
- Work with solution architects, developers, security teams, and operations teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear concepts for non technical stakeholders.
- Provide architectural guidance during project lifecycle - from conceptualization to production rollout.
- Implement cloud security architecture covering IAM, VPC security, encryption, IAM roles, and compliance controls.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) depending on industry needs.
Your Profile
Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Experience in architecting and building solutions to support highly available Data solutions, batch processes, services and APIs.
- Understanding of IAM policies and statements.
- AWS based capacity management and performance logging and monitoring solutions.
- AWS cost management.
- Scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Powershell, BASH).
- Data Vault.
- Experience of writing/using terraform or AWS CDK at scale.
- Postgres SQL, Oracle MySQL/Aurora RDS, Redshift and other database/NoSQL Tech.
Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- AWS solution architect associate certification or equivalent preferred.
- Awareness of Redshift, AWS Services.
- Experience in Cloud based projects.
