We are seeking an experienced BizTalk Developer to support a major upgrade project for one of the UK's leading airline customers. The current environment runs on BizTalk Server 2013 R2, and we are planning to migrate to BizTalk Server 2020 hosted on Azure IaaS.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and support migration of BizTalk Server 2013 R2 to BizTalk Server 2020 on Azure IaaS virtual machines.
- Assess current integration solutions, identify dependencies, and develop migration plans.
- Prepare detailed migration documentation, design documents, and runbooks.
- Support environment provisioning, configuration, and testing in Azure IaaS.
- Validate migrated artifacts - schemas, maps, orchestrations, pipelines, and adapters - ensuring they function correctly post-upgrade.
- Conduct unit, integration, system, and UAT testing with stakeholders.
- Provide production cut-over support and post-migration stabilization.
Technical Responsibilities
- Perform artifact migration including orchestrations, maps, schemas, pipelines, bindings, and custom components from BizTalk 2013 R2 to BizTalk 2020.
- Reconfigure and test adapters and ports after migration.
- Troubleshoot issues related to BizTalk artifacts, SQL performance, and connectivity.
- Support deployment automation and CI/CD integrations for BizTalk solutions.
- Ensure security configurations, certificates, and access controls are correctly applied in Azure environments.
Your Profile
Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013 R2 and BizTalk Server 2020.
- BizTalk artifacts - schemas, maps, orchestrations, pipelines, bindings, adapters.
- .NET / C#, XML, XSLT.
- REST / SOAP APIs.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- DevOps / CI-CD.
- Basic Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certification in BizTalk Server or relevant Azure certifications.
- Experience with multi-environment migrations (Dev / Test / QA / Prod).
- Familiarity with Azure PaaS integration options (Logic Apps, Service Bus) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
