About StackOne
StackOne is the universal integration layer for modern SaaS products. We’ve raised $24m in 2 years, and we’re backed by top tier investors like Google Ventures and Workday Ventures.
Our unified API platform lets vendors ship hundreds of native, white label integrations in days, not months, by abstracting away dozens of disparate third party APIs into a single, normalized interface. On top of those APIs, we provide AI Agent Actions so customers can build agentic workflows without wrangling OpenAPI specs.
StackOne sits behind the scenes as an embedded iPaaS: SOC 2 compliant, multi-tenant, and invisible to end users powering integrations for future-of-work SaaS categories such as HR, Compliance, and AI Agents.
Our customers are established B2B SaaS companies that:
- Sell to mid market and enterprise buyers
- Are building AI Agents in the near future
- Need deep, native integrations to win competitive deals and power their product
- Value time to integration over building connectors in house
We typically close OEM and embedded licensing deals, multi-year (1 to 3 year) contracts, five to seven figure TCV, with a strong land and expand model. Key buyer personas are the CPO and CTO.
Role overview
Join a tight-knit, fast-paced team of AI engineers pushing MCP to its limits and advancing the protocol across the ecosystem. You will build Disco.dev into the best way to integrate agents with SaaS apps, make MCP enterprise-ready through StackOne, and stay tightly aligned with the MCP community to adopt and influence the latest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate MCP servers, transports and tools that connect agents to SaaS apps via StackOne and Disco.dev
- Productionise MCP for the enterprise: authn/authz, multi-tenancy, RBAC, audit logs, observability, SLIs and SLAs
- Ship on Cloudflare and AWS: Workers, Durable Objects, KV, R2, plus Lambda or containers, API Gateway, IAM and networking
- Define conformance, load and chaos tests for MCP servers to harden reliability and performance
- Coordinate with the MCP ecosystem: track proposals, contribute issues and PRs, write design notes and interop guides
- Translate real customer CUJs into protocol and product improvements in Disco.dev and StackOne
Requirements & Qualifications
Must have:
- 3+ years professional full-stack experience shipping production systems
- Hands-on experience building MCP servers or equivalent agent tool servers, including permissions and session management
- Strong Cloudflare experience: Workers, Durable Objects, KV or R2, build and deploy pipelines
- Strong AWS experience: one of Lambda, ECS or EKS, plus API Gateway, IAM, VPC networking and monitoring
- Proficiency with TypeScript or Node.js, and React or Svelte for developer portals and example UIs
- Experience designing agentic workflows: tool schemas, function calls, guardrails and evaluation
- Solid understanding of HTTP, WebSockets or SSE, OAuth 2.0, signed requests and webhooks
- Knowledge of other tools calling standards with understanding of their differences and trade-offs
Nice to have:
- Contributions to MCP or adjacent open-source projects
- Experience using Claude Code via CLI or SDK
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures, policy engines and fine-grained scopes
- Background with security and compliance controls in production environments
- Familiarity with GenAI evaluation, tool-calling patterns and safety rails
