The Opportunity
We’re searching for a highly driven Business Development Lead to accelerate commercial growth across the company’s BaaS, CaaS, and Open Banking product lines. You’ll own the full sales lifecycle—from hunting and qualifying through to solution design, commercial negotiation, and closing multi-year deals. This role is suited to a payments-savvy salesperson who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a scaling fintech’s revenue engine.

Reports to: Senior Commercial Leadership
Team: Individual contributor (supported by marketing & BDR resources)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive full-cycle sales across fintech, digital assets, FX, and wider financial services.
- Build a robust pipeline through outbound outreach, industry events, and existing networks.
- Qualify and re-qualify prospects to maintain a high-quality funnel.
Solution Design & Value Positioning
- Understand each prospect’s regulatory context, business model, and flow-of-funds.
- Tailor embedded finance solutions across virtual accounts/IBANs, card issuing, and open banking.
- Deliver compelling commercial and technical presentations to C-level stakeholders.
Commercial Negotiation & Closing
- Lead contract discussions including minimum commitments, platform fees, and long-term agreements.
- Collaborate with compliance, product, risk, and operations teams to shape scalable deal structures.
- Ensure propositions meet both client objectives and internal revenue targets.
Pipeline Management & Cross-Functional Insight
- Maintain CRM accuracy with detailed notes, activity, and forecasting.
- Share market intelligence to support product strategy, marketing, and overall commercial direction.
Requirements
Experience- A proven track record selling B2B SaaS, fintech, or payment solutions.
- Demonstrable success hitting and exceeding quota in hunter-focused roles.
- Strong familiarity with payments, digital banking, or embedded finance.
- Experience closing multi-year commercial agreements.
- Exceptional objection handling and rapport-building.
- Confident presenting to C-suite and senior decision makers.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong commercial instincts.
- Comfortable interpreting regulatory and operational requirements.
