The Director, Communications (EMEA) plays a hands‑on role in shaping and delivering high‑quality content and communications that strengthen STACK's brand across Europe. This individual contributor role blends strategic thinking with the ability to independently produce clear, compelling content and lead community and stakeholder engagement activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communications & Content Creation
- Shape and guide communications strategies that support business objectives.
- Oversee the EMEA editorial calendar and content roadmap.
- Produce high‑quality content: press releases, thought‑leadership, blogs, case studies, speeches, social content, and executive messaging.
- Conduct interviews and research to source relevant insights and local market perspectives.
- Collaborate with Events and Design teams to ensure consistency across external initiatives.
- Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver tailored communications that build trust, visibility, and support among regional stakeholders.
- Partner with Public Policy, Strategy & Development, Social Impact, and Sustainability teams to support community engagement and local media interactions.
- PR & Media Relations
- Develop and steer the regional PR strategy.
- Act as senior media contact, managing journalist relationships and executing outreach.
- Manage press release drafting, distribution, and follow‑up.
- Identify strategic media opportunities for STACK leadership.
- Oversee Meltwater monitoring and share insights to support proactive reputation management.
- Leadership Communications & Social Channels
- Support executive speaking engagements through research, messaging, and preparation.
- Manage and contribute to EMEA social content for STACK's LinkedIn channel.
- Partner with HR on employer branding initiatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- 8+ years of Communications or PR experience, balancing strategy with hands‑on delivery.
- Extensive Content Writing experience.
- Exceptional writing skills, preferably in the technology sector.
- Strong organisational skills; thrives in a fast‑evolving environment.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong media engagement experience with European tech and business press.
- Proactive, flexible, detail‑oriented, and accountable.
Preferred
- Experience in the data centre sector.
- Proficiency in Italian, French, or German.
- Experience with Meltwater.
