We are hiring a Strategy & Business Development Analyst to play a central, cross functional role in shaping our strategic, financial, and commercial activities.
The role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this is a broad, high impact role spanning strategy, finance, fundraising, and business development, with exposure to Board level decision-making and external partners. You will work closely with the leadership team and across functions to support growth, partnerships, and fundraising.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain short‑and long‑term financial models, integrating market research and data analysis.
- Assess new product, platform, and partnership opportunities (commercial and financial viability, risk/return).
- Prepare strategy and commercial materials for Board meetings and company‑wide updates.
- Create and maintain fundraising materials (non‑confidential summaries, investor pitch decks).
- Support management of relationships with investment banks and corporate finance advisers.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Lead project management of co‑development programmes, including becoming the primary coordination point for external counterparties.
- Identify and approach prospective partners; prepare BD materials and external presentations.
- Develop proposals and support initial commercial term discussions (with progression to leading negotiations as you grow in the role).
About you (qualifications & skills)
- 1–3 years’ experience in strategy, finance, consulting, or biotech/life sciences business development.
- Comfortable building and maintaining financial and commercial models and translating insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong slide‑building skills (PowerPoint) with a knack for clear storytelling.
- Highly organised, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams.‑oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, external partners, and advisers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in global health, vaccines, or pharmaceutical development (a life sciences degree is highly desirable).
Nice to have
- Advanced Excel (e.g., dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, scenario/sensitivity analysis); experience with NPV/royalty/COGS modelling.
- Familiarity with pharma/market datasets (e.g., IQVIA/MIDAS) and BD processes (term sheets, diligence).
