We are now on a mission to level up the UK SMB sector by bringing them enterprise grade financial solutions across lending, FX risk management and acquiring, underpinned by expert guidance from a dedicated relationship management team.

Location

You can be based remotely anywhere in the UK but you will be expected to travel periodically (up to once a month) to our office in London.

Role Summary

As an SDR, you will prospect, book meetings and fill events with decision makers at high-fit grade companies to help them leverage Stable’s unparalleled payments, FX, acquiring and lending services across your assigned territory. Leveraging prior experience nurturing high-value sales opportunities, you’ll build relationships with senior leaders at prospect companies, demonstrate and add value, and connect them with our business development and executive teams. This role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented professional who thrives on autonomy and cold calling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify and book meetings with a pipeline of SME and enterprise merchant leads for our senior sales and leadership teams to conduct.
  • Develop and iterate on outreach and messaging that converts via all channels - phone, email and social (LinkedIn).
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision makers in target sectors.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing and commercial function, providing regular feedback and voice-of-the-customer insights, as well as helping to plan and execute on a programme of hospitality events for prospects.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual meeting and event attendance targets.
  • Track activities and update our CRM system with accurate records of outreach and client insights.
  • Supporting and educating clients when it comes to pain points that Stable can help them solve and/or navigate.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in a cold-calling or cold-outreach environment (including door-to-door or other in-person sales), either in a B2B or B2C context.
  • Ability to build rapport, credibility and urgency quickly with senior decision makers.
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter mentality with disciplined planning, territory management and time-management skills, including prior experience self-sourcing prospects via LinkedIn (or similar lead data platforms).
  • Comfortable with flexible working hours and remote-first working environment.
  • Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ideally some awareness or prior experience of payment terminals, foreign exchange, international payments and business lending facilities (although training will be given).

What We Offer

  • Base salary of £30,000 per annum (pro-rated for term time to £18,000 approximately) plus uncapped bonus structure based on the number of meetings booked with and events attended by qualified prospects who apply for an account with Stable (£100 per meeting).
  • The typical working hours are 9am-3pm each weekday during school term time (with no hours required during school holidays) but these can be flexible dependent on individual circumstances.
  • Comprehensive sales support, including lead data, playbooks and training in the Stable sales methodology framework.
  • Ongoing coaching and a clear progression pathway to a Business Development Manager role based on hitting KPIs and meeting targets.
