Due to significant expansion, there is a superb opportunity for a QA Tester to join a leading consultancy that provides digital solutions in high security environments.
The Opportunity
They are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join their growing Team in a QA Test role. You will be working with both internal development teams and external customers and partners, working on projects that will be a mixture of pure research and products being developed for a production environment. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have current SC Clearance.
The Role
- Work closely with developers, project managers and technical stakeholders, taking ownership of testing activities both at exploratory and production environment.
- Design, write and maintain robust manual and automated test scripts.
- Work with complex systems and applications.
- Work collaboratively with development and technical teams to identify, log, prioritise and resolve defects.
- Analyse requirements and user stories and help provide acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to test strategy and test planning activities.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and evidence for audit and compliance purposes.
- Providing go-live support and post-deployment validation where required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing standards, tools and methodologies.
- Report on test outcomes at the level required for the project.
- Test gap analysis and identify scenarios to be tested and/or automated.
- Ensure quality of products as they move from prototype/proof of concept into Production.
- Helping shape and expand Agile working practices.
The Person
- Proven experience in a Software Testing / QA role, operating with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong hands-on experience with testing across complex systems.
- Demonstrable experience designing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation.
- Experience with Agile methodology and exploratory testing.
- Strong working knowledge of testing tools and test management software.
- Above all, they are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about quality assurance, and can demonstrate a broad range of skills and experience.
