Responsibilities
As an HGV/Plant Mechanic, you will be tasked with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment used in road recycling operations. Key responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and conducting repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Scaldwell, requiring hands-on involvement with specialized machinery in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment, including diagnostics and repair
- Strong Troubleshooting abilities for identifying and resolving technical issues
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle or plant mechanics, or equivalent experience
- Strong adherence to safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently or within a team in an on-site environment
- Valid HGV license is advantageous but not required
