This is a full-time role for a Litigation Solicitor, based at our Manchester office. The role forms part of STA International’s 2026 growth plan, including expansion of our contentious practice into higher-value, multi-party and cross-border disputes arising from national and international trade, transport, and supply chain relationships, backed by several new office openings across UK cities.
You will manage and support a mixed caseload including commercial and civil litigation, insolvency-related disputes and recovery actions, and arbitration matters (including case preparation and conduct through hearing). The work includes urgent and time-sensitive disputes, contractual and payment claims, enforcement and insolvency strategy, and advisory support to clients operating across complex supply chains and regulated environments.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to trial and hearing readiness across the team, including assisting with and undertaking trial preparation (including pleadings, evidence, disclosure, schedules, bundles, and witness preparation), and attending hearings as required. You will collaborate with internal operations, credit and dispute teams, liaise with counsel and external stakeholders, and provide clear, commercially grounded advice to ensure effective resolution while maintaining high professional and compliance standards.
Real estate litigation experience is not essential; however, the firm undertakes real estate disputes work and exposure to such matters will be regarded as beneficial.
