Contract: 30hrs per week 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus 1 week) – 1 Year Fixed Term
We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant with some responsibility for EHCP pupils, some responsibility for pupils with medical needs and some whole class responsibility. The EHCP pupils may need support with communication to access learning within the classroom and to interact with their peers. This role also includes playground supervision at break and lunchtimes.
We are committed to an inclusive approach to the education of all our pupils and the successful candidate will support this approach through their role.
We are looking for an applicant who:
- has experience of working with children
- is passionate about enabling all children to achieve as well as they possibly can whatever their starting point
- has a clear idea of strategies to encourage appropriate behaviour choices and is able to apply these in a classroom situation and outside of the classroom
- will support children of all abilities
- is flexible, well-motivated and is able to work on their own initiative
- is a good team player
- will make a positive contribution to our school community
- is willing to, or has specific experience of, working with SEND pupils
- is willing to run interventions
- is willing to attend to pupils personal needs including social, welfare and health matters
- is willing to implement actions and strategies suggested by outside agencies
