  • You are an experienced learning and development professional with a passion for building workforce capability and delivering engaging learning experiences.
  • You bring strong facilitation, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, along with the ability to manage learning programs in a fast-paced and service-focused environment.
  • With a collaborative and proactive approach, you are committed to continuous improvement and supporting positive organisational outcomes through practical and effective learning solutions.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Education, Business or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development, training coordination, facilitation or workforce capability roles within a complex organisation.
  • Proven experience coordinating learning programs, workshops, training calendars and maintaining accurate learning records and reporting.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging learning experiences to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience supporting induction, compliance training, leadership development and broader workforce capability initiatives.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Sound analytical and continuous improvement skills, including the ability to interpret learning data, identify trends and recommend practical improvements.

About the role:

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for coordinating, facilitating and continuously improving learning and development activities across the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (SVDPV), VincentCare Victoria (VCV) and VincentCare Community Housing (VCCH). Working closely with leaders, managers and stakeholders, the role delivers practical and engaging learning solutions that support induction, compliance, leadership capability and workforce development. As a trusted learning partner, the role supports capability uplift through effective training delivery, administration, system support and continuous improvement, helping to build an inclusive, safe and values-driven workforce committed to supporting the community.

  • Coordinate and deliver learning and development programs, workshops, induction sessions and capability initiatives across the organisation.
  • Facilitate engaging and practical learning experiences that support workforce capability and organisational priorities.
  • Manage learning administration activities including scheduling, enrolments, attendance tracking, training records and reporting.
  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of learning systems, compliance training and learning processes.
  • Partner with leaders, stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and deliver effective learning solutions and resources.
  • Monitor learning participation, feedback and capability data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to ensure learning activities are practical, responsive and aligned to operational needs.
