7 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only) Friday 8:30am-4:00pm.

The Governors are looking to appoint a Receptionist to work collaboratively with other support staff to provide effective support to the school. Reporting to the School Secretary, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic, customer-focused, adaptable and efficient with excellent interpersonal skills to act as a first point of contact for customers phoning, emailing and visiting St Thomas More. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The role of receptionist is varied and includes:

  • Managing incoming calls
  • Taking accurate messages
  • Meeting and greeting visitors in line with appropriate safeguarding protocols
  • Managing outgoing and incoming post
  • Using Bromcom (school’s student database)
