Are you committed to supporting young people with additional needs and helping them to flourish academically, socially and spiritually? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Intervention Support Assistant to join our caring and inclusive Catholic secondary school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through targeted interventions, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every child to reach their God-given potential.
About the Role
Working under the guidance of the SENDCo, you will deliver tailored interventions and provide in-class support to students with a range of needs. You will play a key role in nurturing students’ confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing within a supportive, faith-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted interventions for SEND pupils, both in and out of the classroom
- Support students’ learning through differentiated activities and small group work
- Work closely with teaching staff and the SENDCo to monitor progress and adapt provision
- Promote the social, emotional and behavioural development of students
- Support pupils in preparing for examinations and managing school routines
- Build positive, respectful relationships that reflect the school’s Catholic values
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all students
