St Thomas’ C of E Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an SEN Support Assistant to support children with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs). If you are someone who believes that all pupils regardless of their personal circumstances can excel and you have the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire our young people, then this job is for you!
We are looking for someone who can provide the care and support our children need, as well as carrying out interventions to support with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The successful candidate will work across different year groups in school and demonstrate adaptability by supporting a range of children with varying needs (including cognition, communication and SEMH needs). Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is essential; however, training and ongoing support will be provided for the successful candidate.

- An understanding of EHCPs.
- The knowledge of how to support pupils with additional needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as using your initiative.
- Be willing to adapt and be flexible to changing circumstances.
