Location: Porters Grange Primary School & Nursery, Lancaster Gardens, Southend on Sea, Essex, SS1 2NS
Hours: LSA – 11 hours 10 minutes per week (8:30 to 15:40, 30 mins unpaid lunch) | MDA – 2 hours 10 minutes per week (12:10 to 13:15). Both roles will be 2 days per week with flexibility in days.
About the Role
Support pupils’ learning in younger year groups, in classroom settings, small groups and one‑to‑one support. Work within the school’s commitment to excellence and care.
Responsibilities
- Work with students across a range of SEND.
- Support pupils’ learning in classroom, small group and 1:1 settings.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and participation.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
Qualifications
- Experience of supporting pupils in primary schools.
- Experience working with pupils with SEND.
- NVQ level 2 or above.
- GCSE A‑C/equivalent in English and Maths.
- Flexibility and ability to work both independently and within a team.
